✵Environment Education Program. ✵

The Karve Institute of Social Service (KINSS), Pune, successfully implemented the Environment Education Programme (EEP) across 210 schools in Pune and Solapur districts under the National Green Corps initiative, impacting over 12,500 students through experiential and action-based learning.
The programme significantly enhanced environmental awareness and practices, fostering sustainable behavior, community engagement, and the development of young environmental ambassadors aligned with SDGs and the LiFE mission.

Glad to inform you all that we, Gargee Mukharjee, Monika Gadge & Sakshi Shelhale, 2nd Year MSW (MPSW) students got an opportunity to participate in National Student's Led conference 2026 at College of Social Work Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai for Field work Mini research paper presentation.
We would like to thank Dr. Sharmila Ramteke for her guidance, support and motivation also the institute for providing such broader exposure platforms.

✵CSR Initiative: Saksham Project ✵

Under the **Saksham Project** — a joint CSR initiative by Krsnaa Diagnostics Limited and Karve Institute of Social Service, Pune — Rural Hospital Dindori has undergone a significant transformation to enhance healthcare delivery for the local community.
**Key Highlights of the Intervention**
**Infrastructure & Equipment:**
We facilitated the procurement of essential medical supplies, including surgical instruments, diagnostic devices, and sterilization equipment, directly increasing the hospital's capacity to serve the rural population.
**ISO 9001:2015 Certification:**
The project provided end-to-end technical guidance and staff training, leading to the successful ISO certification of the hospital, ensuring internationally recognized quality standards.
**Operational Excellence:**
The Medical Superintendent of Rural Hospital Dindori has formally recognized the initiative for its profound impact on patient care and operational efficiency.

✵ Van Katta Program “Biodiversity and its Impact on Daily Life” ✵

The Karve Institute of Social Service, Pune, in collaboration with the Social Forestry Department, Government of Maharashtra (Pune Forest Division), organized an expert session on “Biodiversity and its Impact on Daily Life” on 9th January 2026. The session was delivered by Dr. Rahul Mungikar, a noted environmental expert associated with SPPU, focusing on biodiversity conservation and its relevance to everyday life. The programme was graced by the presence of Mr. Pankajkumar Garg, Deputy Conservator of Forests; Mrs. Asha Gautam Bhong, Divisional Forest Officer; and Mr. Deepak Atmaram Pawar, Assistant Conservator of Forests, along with other forest officials from the Social Forestry Division, Pune.

The BSSK celebration of Adoption month was organised invites were the Trustees , Management representatives , Government officials from WCD , Kinss Faculty member and students.Dr Navrange‘s lecture was excellent .The slogan competition winners were declared and trophies to winners and participation certificate were distributed to all our students .
