Livelihood Project - Banjo Group

A strong effort and continuous follow up of KINSS team succeeded in mobilizing unorganized youths of Dhatav adivasiwadi. A group of 10 tribal youth was found through the motivation meetings for skill development course. These youths were school dropouts. All the group members were usually wasting their entire day by doing anything non productive things. No one was serious about their future and concern about their families. Initially, they never showed any interest in skill development course during motivating and mobilizing sessions. After some days our team found out their area of interest. Even the group expressed a desire to come together and do small business.
Therefore our team formed their group and named it as ‘Sursangam Musical Group’. We also provided the group with musical instrument and trainings on musical theory. Now the group is taking orders and working very actively.
Till now the group has taken 6 orders taken and have earned 30,000.00 making a profit of Rs.97,000.00 at present.
