Academic Development Opportunity - Viraj Harne

Viraj Harne, of Changyachapada is a student at Bhonsala Military School, Nagpur. He is one of the ten students whose education is sponsored by Mazagaon Dock Shipbuilders Limited. Overcoming financial hardships, the poor quality of schools and unavailability of playgrounds at the neighbouring schools, Viraj has won Bronze medal at District U-14, Gold medal at West Zone U-14 and Silver medal at National Level Taekwondo competition.
Viraj completed his primary education from Z.P school, Changyachapada. His mother possess secondary education and is a housemaker and father is a company worker who has completed his senior secondary education.
His mother Mrs. Mukta Harne is very happy with his achievements as according to her Viraj is growing step by step. According to her Viraj is gaining knowledge and getting more active now, he has also improved in English & Hindi spoken and mathematics. At first it was difficult for her to send Viraj that far as it is very difficult for villagers to adjust in cities but now Viraj is very happy at the school as he gets opportunity for horse riding, taekwondo and other sports also. He wants to be a Taekwondo instructor. Her mother will be very happy if he serves such position in Indian Army.
The one piece of advice she has for Viraj that he should never waste his time on unnecessary things and should focus on sports and studies.
