A dedicated medical practitioner, working in rural area, at Paud, Tal. Mulshi, District Pune, for last 25 years. I strongly believe in the principle, that we can uplift ourselves only if we try to uplift society around us. I have total professional experience of various health care related responsibilities for more than 27 years. Various responsibilities I have shouldered in these years are as follow.
General Physician
As a general physician I have treated in the last 25 years, more than 5 lakh patients on OPD basis and more than 16 thousand patients on Indoor basis. During this period I have learnt principles of ethical medical practice, principles of communications, and handling crowd in good and bad situations, besides sharpening my medical knowledge.

Founder member and medical director of Public Charitable Trust.
Along with 4 other medical practitioners dedicated to work in rural areas, Surhuday Health Foundation was founded and through this trust, I work in the capacity of Medical Director, in Mulshi taluka for 18 years. During this period, we organized a rural hospital of 15 beds, where all primary and secondary health care facilities were pioneered in this area.
Research Associate
I worked as associate for 5 research projects. All these projects were related to the health of rural population. A) A project on cardio vascular health of farmers above 40 age (Year 2005). B) A project on Bronchiolitis (Year 2009) and C) A project on Malnutrition in school going, and below school going children (Year 2010). D) Musculoskeletal health: Morbidity in rural population (2014) D) Anemia: A disease of social circumstances (2016). The responsibilities handled were planning, examination and analysis.

I have worked as a lecturer of anatomy and physiology for variety of students.

Guest Lecturer
As a guest lecturer, I have delivered more than 200 lectures, for various eminent organizations like Maharashtra Education Society, Maratha chamber of commerce, Deccan Institute of Commerce, Kripa Foundation, Mahesh vidyalaya, Mahindra world college, and, for various other groups. The topics of these lectures varied from first aid techniques to adolescence health. My most liked lecture series was functioning of brain, learning and emotional awareness.
Academic Head Of Nursing College
In association with Swaroopwardhini, Surhuday health Foundation was actively involved in conduction of vocational educational course of Nursing Assistant for the girls from weaker economical section. On behalf of Surhuday, I handled the responsibility of heading the activity from 2007 to 2010. The portfolio was to plan, execute, and implement all the activity. From 2010 onwards, Shree Bhagawanrao Napate Foundation took over the place of Swaroopwardhini, and since then, the graph of responsibilities, challenges and expansion increased. Now, the responsibility on my shoulder is directing the complete activity, including planning of academics, developing syllabus, training the teaching staff, organizing practical training of the students, managing the hostel, pacing the students in hospitals for jobs, etc. Presently, I am handling 175 residential students, and a staff of 30 people, to run the organization.
Head Of 15 Bedded Rural Hospital
I am running a rural hospital in Mulshi since 1994. This was the first hospital in this area. We were the first to start pathology services, maternity services, and multi specialty approach at lowest possible costs in rural area. The achievements were tremendous awareness about safe deliveries, anemia, minimum 2.5 kg. birth weight, cardio vascular awareness, dietary reforms in the catchment area. Running of a hospital was always based on principles of community medicine unlike contemporary hospitals. The hospital still has a face of community centre, and provides all primary and secondary health care facilities.
Director of Mobile medical Activity
I am working as Director of mobile medical activity, run by Surhuday health foundation. My responsibility in this activity is, to select the villages for catering the patients, planning the services to be offered, heading the team of doctors and health workers, training the community health workers, developing contents for training materials, planning and executing health awareness camps, dealing with influential community members, delegating responsibilities to the social workers, conducting diagnostic camps, managing and analyzing the data, etc.
In this activity we conduct 12 diagnostic camps, and 4 special health awareness camps in one month. This activity caters 20,000 populations in 52 villages.
Project Incharge
I am working as project incharge of 3 projects.
A) As Medical consultant incharge of Child sponsorship program (CSP) run by Sadhana Village Trust, in which 150 children are adopted for their health and education upbringing. These children are from weaker socio economic section, and are continuously monitored for health and education.
B) Medical Incharge of School Health Project
In which more than 1000 school going children are provided health care facilities
C) Medical consultant Incharge of Intermission Cares (IMCARES), which is an organization providing food, shelter and economic rehabilitation for children of commercial sex workers.
Medical Consultant
I am medical consultant to the following organizations.
1. Riverdale international school
2. Maharashtra Education Society’s Girl’s Military School
3. Sadhana Village Trust, a rehabilitation center for elderly mentally challenged people
4. Kripa Foundation; which is a substance abuse deaddiction center. The achievement is exposure to variety of community patients, and gaining exponential medical knowledge besides serving these communities.

I am associate panel physician of 3 large hospitals.

This consultancy is offered only to the medical professionals who are engaged in Ethical Medical Practice.
Domain Expert
I have worked as a domain expert for medical software projects, for Shardiya Systems Pvt. Ltd. The responsibilities were Technical Need Analysis, provision of medical knowledge required, training of the programmers for the domain flow charts, testing user interface of the software, and analyzing the user feed backs. This consultancy was accepted by me out of my curiosity but helped me to explore my analytical capacities, and exposure to international medical standards. The project was conducted in 2001-2002 for 9 months. I have also worked as a domain expert for a well discussed Marathi Film “sukhant” which was written and directed by eminent director Kiran Yadnopavit, and presently working in the same capacity as Domain expert for Sandesh Bhandare’s “Mahadu”. Both these films have medical background as main subject.
Script Writer of Health awareness films
I have written scripts for health awareness films produced by Door Darshan in year 1992. These short films ware prepared by students of FTII Pune, and are shown on Door Darshan, sahyadri.
Content Developer
I have worked as a consultant for BVG India ltd. for developing health education projects run under SSGY scheme of Central Government. In this project, my responsibility was to develop syllabus for vocational education trades, concerned with health care sector, training the trainers, developing study material, designing the curriculum, planning practical experience, development of AV aids for teaching, interviewing, appointing and mobilizing trainers at different locations, designing contents of short training films to be shown to the students, etc.
